by prodmgmttalk

Therese Padilla, Co-founder and President of AIPMM, Leads Global Product Management Talk Discussion Regarding Two Books On The Subject of Business Models

Product managers, as well as business owners and entrepreneurs, must constantly be learning in order to incorporate new trends in methodologies, provide guidance so their products adapt to the newest emerging technologies, cope with market fluctuations, and continuously update product roadmap plans as their products progress through the stages in the product lifecycle process. Business model principles include customer value propositions, profit formulas and the key resources and processes required to deliver successful products and customer promises. Two books that shed light on business model implementation will be discussed; Business Model Renewal: How to Grow and Prosper by Defying Best Practices and Reinventing Your Strategy by Linda Gorchels and Business Model Generation: A Handbook for Visionaries, Game Changers, and Challengers by Alexander Osterwalder and Yves Pigneur.

Therese Padilla, Co-founder and President of AIPMM, will speak at the weekly Global Product Management Talk on Monday, June 25, 2012 at the simultaneous times of 4:00-5:00 AM Pacific / 6:00-7:00 PM Houston,TEXAS TIME / 7:00-8:00 PM Boston Eastern Time which is Tuesday, June 26 at 9:00-10:00 AM in Sydney Australia using the hashtag #ProdMgmtTalk on Twitter.

Therese says, "I’m very excited to be participating in the highly practical and informative Global Product Management Talk. Product managers must constantly be learning. Both of these books on business models represent contributions from many voices about product management best practices. The AIPMM has been sponsoring many of the #ProdMgmtTalks and it is great to be contributing ideas and participating in the real time conversation.”
